Welcome to the new version 2 of elocal.co.uk! We hope you like the new design, both on the main elocal.co.uk site, and on the business sites. These changes will allow us to provide more and higher quality sites at our usual low cost.
Some services (such as full functionallity on Classified Ads) will be unavailable for a short while, but we will have them back as soon as possible.

MSN have recently updated their search engine (http://search.msn.co.uk). This new engine has been in development and BETA for quite sometime, and it has been worth the wait!
MSN search appears to put more weight on the actual search phrase than Google, and so is much better at finding specifics. Google weights its results heavily on the number of links to a page, and this often skews the results away from the search phrase and towards one word in the phrase which is popular on the internet.

We are pleased to announce that, as part of our continual efforts to provide the best quality information and service, we have signed a deal with multimap.com to provide high quality, scalable maps on business sites.
These maps replace the lower quality static maps previously provided.
